| World-famous German labels
are readily available in Singapore. However, the names often conceal
the work of their origin. Strenesse, for example, bears the imprint of
Bavarian native
Gabriele Stehle and Escada was founded in 1976 by Wolfgang and
Margaretha Ley. Arguably the most famous German couturier, Karl
Lagerfeld, works for fashion houses like Chanel and Fendi from
Italy. Sometimes even better known than Chanel and Armani is the brand Jil Sander,
by Heidemarie Jiline Sander. |
